Chicago Bulls...LCYB Team

As you might know from some of my previous blogs, basketball is something that I am very passionate about. I played it all of my life, and sometimes I regret not playing in college. I actually could have played here at PNW, but that is another story. A buddy of mine volunteered to coach a middle school LCYB basketball team. LCYB stands for Lake Central Youth Basketball. He asked me right away if I wanted to help him coach because he knew I had played the game for a long time. At first, I was hesitant because I hadn't really coached a team before. Also, they play on the weekends and I love to watch college and NFL football. All that being said, I decided to help him coach and so far it has been a great decision. Teaching these kids how to play basketball has actually been something that has made me happy. Watching them get better each day is also very cool. We have only had a couple practices, so I cannot wait to see where the kids are at the end of the season. As of right now we are 2-0 and have a couple of more games this weekend. Really hoping the team plays well!

  1. How cool! So much joy comes from teaching, especially when you teach what you know and love. Good for you, Dominic!
